Digital Acrylic Study

Mercat Acrylic1

I have finally found an ideal method for re-creating a photo in a painterly style for Acrylics.  It involved building a couple of custom brushes in Painter X, and a LOT of trial and error, but I’m finally happy with the results. The above took about 1.5 hours, but I am confident with practice I can get that time down significantly, and will likely improve upon the techniques involved. Now I am going to move to Oils, and start on doing some Human Portraits.
